VIctoria and albert

In an ode to the continuing tradition of innovative India textiles, the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), London explored the history of the Indian textile industry. Rimzim Dadu was the youngest designer chosen to present her work at the prestigious Victoria & Albert Museum for their exhibition titled "Fabric of India."

Wool with leather applique detailing

This wool blouse is in a simple t-shirt shape and had leather applique detailing onthe collar.

In this skirt, fine leather cord of different colours is painstakingly assembled and indiviudally stitched to the backing fabric to imitate a classic patola ikat weave.

The exhibition that opened in October 2015 showed the Leather Patola work of Rimzim Dadu from her Autumn Winter 2014 collection.
