VIctoria and albert

In an ode to the continuing tradition of innovative India textiles, the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), London explored the history of the Indian textile industry. Rimzim Dadu was the youngest designer chosen to present her work at the prestigious Victoria & Albert Museum for their exhibition titled "Fabric of India."

Wool with leather applique detailing

This wool blouse is in a simple t-shirt shape and had leather applique detailing onthe collar.


IMITATING IKAT

In this skirt, fine leather cord of different colours is painstakingly assembled and indiviudally stitched to the backing fabric to imitate a classic patola ikat weave.


FABRIC OF INDIA

The exhibition that opened in October 2015 showed the Leather Patola work of Rimzim Dadu from her Autumn Winter 2014 collection.
